Examples of the work of talented contemporary Italian artist, Mauro Lacqua, will be on display at Bar Magenta, in Milan, Italy from the 29th May until the 12th June 2009.

Flowers and Scars

Lacqua’s exhibition is entitled ‘Fiori e cicatrici‘ – Flowers and Scars and is being presented by Vera Agostini.

The Lacqua exhibition inauguration, at which the artist, Mauro Lacqua will be present, is to be held at 7:30 pm on Friday, 29th May, 2009, at Bar Magenta.  This event presents an ideal opportunity for those who would like to view the work of this interesting Italian artist.

Here is a little about Mauro Lacqua:

He  lives and works in Pavia and Milan, Italy.  Mauro Lacqua discovered he had a passion for for visual arts in early childhood and learned his first painting technique from Mimmo Canonico, the teacher who also used to regale Lacqua with stories of fascinating landscapes and of his  experiences in life.

Lacqua went on to master various techniques and tendencies at the Civic Schools of Visual Art in Pavia, Italy.  He owes much to Monica Anselmi who considers art and an artists approach to art a vocation.

Mauro Lacqua’s work makes use of a wide variety of techniques and employs media such cement and recycled materials.
